Blood Donation camp at Navbharat Ind Estate
The 55th Blood Donation Camp was conducted at Navbharat Industrial Estate, Sewri, Mumbai
This camp was in collaboration with Tata Memorial Hospital and the blood collection was done primarily for the Cancer patients.
The facility management of Navbharat Ind Estate had elaborate arrangements for this camp, so that the rains should not disrupt the camp. The donors from this facility were encouraged for blood donation by the facility management team. The first donor was the Facility Manager.
As the employees were arriving late due to quit a bit of rains, the initial response was not good. After lunch, the activity picked up and around 120 donors visited the camp. But due to various reasons such as low Hemoglobin, recent infection, drinking in the night, we could collect 66 units of the blood.
